Playworks Offline - WTF

Playworks Offline is a series of really weird comics that make sense only to the creators. Why they were born, no one knows. Here’s the first of the series.

Playworks Offline is a series of really weird comics that make sense only to the creators. Why they were born, no one knows. Here’s the first of the series.
Another BOB member, Kreamer posted a video on his wedding ceremony, and it was so well-presented that I chose to have it recorded here.
I admit this is the first time I’m seeing a Malay wedding video accompanied by English ballads. Seriously, kudos for trying something new. Keeps it fresh!
Congratulations to the lovebirds.
The ‘e-life @ Suntec’ Gaming Challenge microsite is updated with more details.
Head over to the site, http://www.playworksonline.com/egc/ or click on the above picture to register.
The games are easy to pick up and are suitable for friends and family members of all ages.

According to this entry on Gamesync.net on 8 May 2008, Singapore Sword General Manager Aaron Aw (Phenic) is planning to sue Wilson Chia (Tetra) for slanderous comments made over the incident recently at CGS.
A check with the site does not reveal further updates on this matter.
Swordplay shared this omgfkinhilarious gameplay video on ‘Enemy Territory:Quake Wars’ and I think it managed to attract our attention. I admit that I was not actually looking forward to this game at all, until I saw the videos.
It will be tough to keep your attention to one game for a long time because there will be quite a few blockbusters releasing around the same time.
Oh well, enjoy the vids first.

Somebody shared about this leaked screens on an upcoming game, Banjo-Kazooie.
So far we’ve learnt that the game is being developed by Rare, the same company that produced Viva Pinata.
Looks fantastic so far, and you can see more here (loved the blueprint screenshots). Let’s hear some audio now.

What do you think? Sure it says it’s lightweight, ergonomic, keeps you hands-free and all, but I’m not sure if it’s ever protective in the first place.
Imagine someone smashing your back with a wrench, kendo stick, sledgehammer. It protects your spine, yes, but not that new laptop you just purchased.
I hope our local military force do not acquire this for their soldiers. Imagine having to lug this along together with your full battle order, battle rifle, heavy haversack and the already-uncomfortable camouflage uniform!
What’s with the recent trend of jumping over cars?
After the famous Kobe-jumping-over-Aston-Martin video last month, there is recently a video on a 7-year-old kid from Japan (albeit with a springboard) jumping over another car. Still, it was an amazing feat.
Times have really changed. Did you accomplish anything outstanding when you were 7 years old? I know I got a hell lot of beating from mum for being the naughty kid that I was.
Anyway, if you’re motivated to do your very own jump-over-car video, please at least choose someplace other than at a busy road. Look what happened to this gentleman:

It was just yesterday (10 May) when ChampionShip Gaming Series (CGS) made headlines about probably having the Singapore Swords team booted out from the world finals in July and just when readers thought Mr Wilson ‘Tetra’ Chia has been made a greater scapegoat of the whole situation, CGS (as reported here) might reconsider his reinstatement in the future.
When contacted by The Sunday Times, Mr Andy Reif, chief executive of the CGS also called for Mr Aaron ‘Phenic’ Aw to relook at the incident and plan for a fresh year ahead. That might hint that the Singapore Swords could still be playing at the CGS.
Meanwhile, Mr Aaron commented that due to work commitments, Ms Yvette Ng, one of the three women trained by Mr Chia, could not play in the Pan-Asian leg so his fiance, Ms Daphne Chow had to step in. According to him, Ms Yvette would still be playing in the world finals in July.
The saga continues…

Most people will be celebrating it this weekend, so the PlayWorks team would like to take this opportunity to wish all mums and mums-to-be a very Happy Mother’s Day with your loved ones.
We found this video on YouTube and we can’t stop groovin’ to it:
At the same time, we chanced upon this hilarious short video by Ellen in our of her performances with an audience of mothers…
